Frequently Asked Questions about our Wash Technology

reach and wash window cleaning tall building

WHAT IS REACH AND WASH?

Reach and Wash allows us to work at height without the use of ladders ensuring that we comply with Health and Safety legislation and maintains your privacy.

The Reach and Wash System allows windows to be cleaned from the safety of the ground using telescopic poles.

Soft brushes are used to remove dirt from glass, whilst the pure water we use rinses the windows leaving them spotlessly clean without any residue.

WHAT IS PURE WATER?

If ordinary tap water was sprayed on to windows and left to dry it would result in the glass appearing milky white in colour when dried. These marks are caused by the mineral content of tap water. Pure Water is different because it is water without any mineral content so when it dries it leaves your windows spotlessly clean.

To ensure the water we are using is Pure we use a TDS Meter (Totally Dissolved Solids) to identify the quantity of minerals that are dissolved in tap water.

WHAT IS A TDS METER?

If you were to test ordinary tap water the TDS meter more than likely read between 0.35 parts per million (PPM) to 600 PPM. This is fine for drinking water but not suitable to use with the Water Fed Pole System for cleaning windows. To ensure windows are perfectly clean all of the minerals need to be filtered from the water and the TSD meter should read 0.00 PPM which indicates zero mineral content and will ensure that your windows are perfectly clean.
